Turkish Hair Transplant Journey: My Experience at Estemark Clinic

In this video, I share my experience getting a DHI hair transplant at Estemark Clinic in Istanbul, Turkey. See the process and results of my Turkish hair transplant journey!

Last week I travelled to Istanbul for a hair transplant at Estemark Clinic. The idea of flying halfway around the world for a procedure is thrilling and a bit nerve-wracking. As I board the plane, I can’t help but think about how this trip could change my life.

The clinic arranged for a driver to pick

and myself up at the airport and take us to our hotel. The streets of Istanbul are vibrant & bustling with life. We found a cozy restaurant nearby and indulge in some delicious Turkish cuisine. The kebabs are incredible, and the hospitality is second to none.

For the day of the procedure, I arrived at the clinic at about 8am, the staff was welcoming, and their professionalism put me at ease. After some routine blood tests, I sat down with the surgeon to finalize our plan. He marked out where my new hairline will be, and when I was able to see it drawn out, it started to make everything feel real.

The procedure itself went smooth. I opted for the DHI hair transplant method, where hair follicles are implanted directly into the scalp. The local anesthesia made it where I didn’t really feel a thing during the process, and before I knew it, it was over.

The day after the transplant, I went back to the clinic for a check-up and my first hair wash. The staff gently washed my hair, and showed me how to do it without disturbing the new follicles. It’s a delicate process, but their guidance makes it easy to understand.

With the rest of the day free, I decided to explore the city again. Umut and his colleagues took us to a great restaurant with a beautiful view overlooking the sea. We visited a bazaar and the richness of the spices and the hustle of the market is captivating. I also made sure to buy some Turkish delights to bring back home – a little taste of Istanbul.

We enjoyed a trip to the Asian side of Istanbul. The water is a deep blue, and the breeze is refreshing. I found a quaint café and sip on some Turkish coffee while reflecting on this journey. This trip has been more than just a medical procedure – it’s been an adventure.

Looking in the mirror, I see the beginning of what will soon be a fuller head of hair. The trip to Istanbul was everything I hoped for and more. The professionalism of Umut and the team at Estemark Clinic, the beauty of the city, and the warmth of its people made this an unforgettable experience. If you’re considering a hair transplant, Istanbul is the place to do it. It’s not just a procedure; it’s a journey worth taking.
